  • The Foundation Welcomes Its 2026 Board

    The Foundation is pleased to introduce its 2026 Board, seated following this year’s election. The incoming members bring a mix of clinical, research, and industry experience, and several have come up through committee work over the past few years.

    The Board has set out its priorities for the year, with continued focus on member resources, the events program, and the ongoing work of the committees. Short profiles of each Board member are on the About page, and the Board’s goals for the year will be shared in more detail at the annual meeting.

  • Annual Meeting Returns to Chicago This October

    This year’s annual meeting will be held in Chicago from October 14 to 16. It’s the one time all year the whole community gathers in one place, and the program spans practice, research, and the industry side of the field.

    Registration opens next month, with member pricing and early-bird rates. Whether you come for the sessions, the committee meetings, or simply to catch up with colleagues, it’s worth putting the dates in your calendar now. Full details and the venue guide will follow.

  •  Governance Committee Opens Bylaws Review

    The Governance Committee has opened its periodic review of the bylaws and is inviting comment from committee volunteers before anything goes to a wider vote. A redlined draft showing the proposed changes is in the committee resources, with a short note explaining the reasoning behind each one.

    Most of the changes are housekeeping, but a few touch how committees are formed and how terms are set, which is why volunteer input matters here. Comments are open for three weeks; the committee will publish a summary of what it heard along with the final draft.

  • New Committee Volunteer Orientation

    If you’ve recently joined a committee, the next volunteer orientation is on March 12. It’s a short, practical session covering how committees work here: how agendas get set, where minutes and working documents live, and who to go to when you need something.

    Returning volunteers are welcome too, especially if you’ve taken on a new role this year. Bring the questions you didn’t know who to ask, we’ll leave plenty of time for them. A recording and the slides will go in the committee resources afterward.

  • Event Committee: Call for Session Proposals

    The Event Committee is putting together the program for this year’s annual meeting and is asking committee volunteers to submit session ideas. If you’ve run a workshop, led a discussion, or seen a topic that keeps coming up in your group, this is the place to bring it forward.

    Proposals need a working title, a short description, and the names of anyone helping to run it. The committee reviews submissions on a rolling basis and will follow up with you directly, so earlier is better if you want a slot in the main tracks.

  • Spring Member Webinar Series Announced

    The spring webinar series is set, with six sessions running from March through May. Topics come straight from what members asked for in last year’s survey, and each session leaves time for questions rather than ending on the last slide.

    Members attend live at no cost, and recordings go into the library afterward for anyone who can’t make the time slot. Registration links for each session are on the events page, and we’ll send a reminder the week before each one.

  • New Practice Guideline Released to Members

    The latest practice guideline is now available in the member library. It updates our earlier guidance to reflect recent evidence and the questions members have raised over the past year, and it replaces the previous version, which has been archived for reference.

    Members can read the full document, download the summary, and see the sources behind each recommendation. As always, the guidance is written to be used in day-to-day work, not just read once, so the quick-reference version is worth keeping close.

  • 2026 Membership Renewals Are Open

    Renewals for the 2026 membership year are now open. Signing in to your account shows your current status, the dues for your membership type, and anything outstanding, so most members can renew in a couple of minutes.

    Renewing on time keeps your access to member resources, event pricing, and the personalized parts of the site uninterrupted. If your role or organization has changed in the past year, this is a good moment to update your details so the rest of the site stays relevant to you.
